Model MTDC

Power Systems & Controls developed our Modular Tactical Data Center (MTDC) for defense and private sector IT specialists who require rack space for rapid expanding server rooms, or when Data Centers are being moved, relocated, upgraded, etc. The MTDC is a modular intermodal solution for the world’s growing need for safe and easy data storage. PS&C’s Data Centers are tested, proven, and have been deployed in over a dozen different countries around the world.

The temperature within the Modular Tactical Data Center (MTDC) is controlled using either chilled water in-row cooling or a cold isle/hot isle forced air HVAC.  Whichever is best for the customer’s specific application. The MTDC is offered in a 20’, 40’, or custom design footprint. A standard 20’ MTDC can hold up to six (6) server modules and has (N+1) power redundancy already built into the system through integrated Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems. The racks are mounted on 100% sliders allowing for full depth access. Both sides of the server racks are available, at all times. The MTDC also has advanced power and communication hookups allowing for quick and easy connection.

MTDC Layout:

When a Data Center is needed in a remote location with questionable power, the best solution is PS&C’s “self-contained” shelters. This shelter will include Multiple Data Center modules, An Uninterruptible Power Supply & Distribution module with 25% expansion, one (1) Portable Work Center module, and personnel access doors to move from module to module without exiting the MTDC. This system is ideal for a rapid deployment data center in many “off-grid” applications.

PS&C’s Modular Tactical Data Center is capable of being operated anywhere in the world, including 50Hz or 60Hz environments. Power Systems & Controls can offer our standard 20’ or 40’ Modular Tactical Data Centers, as well as, models for Expandable, and Design & Build requirements.
