Portable Latrine Facility:
Model PLF
Power Systems & Controls developed our Portable Latrine Facility (PLF) for international organizations that must meet OSHA regulations. According to OSHA, “Toilet facilities must be available at ever worksite, with the exception of sites of mobile work crews. Employees in mobile work crews must have transportation readily available to toilet facilities “nearby.” Agricultural workers must have toilet and hand-washing facilities within a quarter-mile of the worksite”. However, some mobile work crews are unable to use transportation because of hostile or isolated conditions. Our PLF was designed to be an all-in-one solution for such circumstances. PS&C’s portable latrine facilities are tested, proven, and manufactured to meet U.S. regulations regarding restrooms in the workplace.
The temperature within the Portable Latrine Facility (PLF) is regulated using a forced air HVAC system. The PLF is offered in 20’, 40’, or custom design footprint via PS&C’s Engineering Department. The number of stalls provided depends on the design and configuration chosen; however, the PLF can accommodate 5-10 personnel in a single shelter or up to 50 personnel at one time through an interconnected modular solution. Besides having stalls, the PLF is also outfitted with sinks and mirrors for personal hygiene support. It also has advanced power and water (potable/non-potable) connections allowing for fast and easy installation.
Interior Layout:
The PLF is an enclosed system with only one (1) personnel door for gaining access to the shelter. LED lighting is provided throughout the system for ISO 8995-1:2002 (CIE S 008/E: 2001) lighting regulations. The floor is composed of interlocking rubber tiles, which are non-slip, mildew resistant, and easily cleanable. Furthermore, our latrine shelters are capable of being stacked up to three (3) levels high. This gives greater flexibility to the User and creates a smaller footprint when compared to our competitors.
PS&C’s portable latrine facility is capable of being deployed anywhere in the world where there is a dependable water supply. Additionally, they can be outfitted to protect against small arms fire if being deployed in a possible hostile environment. Power Systems & Controls can offer our standard 20’ or 40’ portable latrine facilities, as well as, models for Expandable, Modular, and Design & Build requirements.
