What are Portable Power Centers:
CONUS & OCONUS
Power is one the greatest discoveries in human history, hence Portable Power Centers are very important. The ability to create, control, and deliver power to critical installations is of the utmost importance. As a result, power is critical from the facility manager responsible to the janitor who needs lights for work. Furthermore, some places around the world don’t have the infrastructure or stability to support these high-tech power intensive operations. This is the reason Power Systems & Controls offers a full line of power centers to help sure up any deficiencies. Whether it’s a need to generate power, distribute power, or an intelligent micro grid for alternative energy solutions; PS&C has a fully staffed Engineering Department to help find the optimal solution for your power issues.
Portable Power Center:
Power Systems & Controls developed our Portable Power Center (PPC) for customers and clients that have a zero tolerance for downtime due to power interruption from the local utility or power source. It was designed to provide power to critical installations that are located in hostile or remote locations. Especially when the integrity of the local utility is questionable. PS&C’s portable power centers are tested, proven, and have been deployed to over 25 countries around the world.
For mission critical power users, PS&C’s Portable Power Center (PPC) are the ideal solution. The power centers consist of redundant diesel generators with a three (3) source ATS, 600 gallon fuel tank. In addition, wet stacking automatic load bank, and output distribution in a standard ISO footprint. The typical system is a set of 150kW to 175kW prime rated diesel generators. The DG set is mounted on a UL 142 fuel tank. When the need is greater than 175kW for the redundant system, a set of 500kW prime rated diesel generators are housed in a standard 40’ ISO container with ancillary equipment as listed above. One of the unique features with the PPC are the intake louvers mounted on piston style shocks allowing for a 90 degree open louver. This allows for ease of maintenance for service technicians.
PPC Layout:
The temperature within the PPC is controlled using either chilled water fan coil units or a forced air HVAC unit. The PPC is offered in a 20', 40', or customer design footprint. The walls of the power center is constructed of sound suppressing material, so that the overall system is sound attenuated. LED lighting is provided throughout the shelter system to provide sufficient lighting for maintenance and service. To gain access to the portable power center, Users must utilize a personnel door located at the end of the shelter. Furthermore, the PPC is outfitted with advanced power and control hookups allowing for quick and efficient connection.
PS&C’s portable power center is capable of being deployed anywhere in the world. If it's required for a unique application, our Engineering Department can work with the User to design the optimal solution for their specific application. Power Systems & Controls can offer our standard 20’ or 40’ power centers, as well as, models for Expandable, Modular, and Design & Build requirements.
Other Types of Power Products:
The Portable power solutions are becoming more prevalent day after day, all around the world. However, Heat-reducing solar netting and external thermal blankets are used for extreme heat. Currently there are PS&C power centers deployed and operating on every continent except Antarctica.
Consequently, PS&C builds a full line of Portable and Tactical shelter solutions. A MTOC (modular tactical operation center) is a group of enclosures used in a system.
