Portable Power Distribution:

Model PPD

Power Systems & Controls developed our Portable Power Distribution (PPD) for mission critical power users. It supports Users that need power conditioning.  In addition to secondary and/or tertiary power sources with distribution. PS&C’s portable power distribution systems are tested, proven, and manufactured to handle to most severe applications possible.  They are part of our Enclosure Solutions products.

The Portable Power Distribution (PPD) is perfect for supporting modular shelter systems as the secondary source and power conditioning equipment are at the same location. As a minimum, the PPD will have a power distribution panel and boards tied to the load bus.  In addition, a transfer switch, an extended range voltage regulator, and a surge protection device.  The PPD allows for a tie point where the utility power or main source power will be routed through the voltage regulator as source one and the secondary power will be connected to the PPD as source two to the ATS. Additionally, the output portion of the portable power distribution shelter is critical in that it allows the load to be intelligently split at the PPD outbreak breakers, prior to the downstream load.

Power Layout:

The temperature within the shelter distribution system is controlled using either chilled water fan coil units or forced air HVAC. The PPC is offered in a 20', 40', or customer design footprint as our Engineering Department can meet any specification. LED lighting is provided throughout the shelter system to provide sufficient lighting for maintenance and service. To gain access to the shelter, Users must utilize a personnel door located at the end of the shelter. Furthermore, the PPD is outfitted with advanced power and control hookups allowing for quick and efficient connection.

PS&C’s shelter system is capable of being utilized anywhere in the world. Power Systems & Controls can offer our standard 20’ or 40’ models, as well as, models for Expandable, Modular, and Design & Build requirements.
