Series PRDC

Power Systems & Controls developed our Portable Reinforced Data Center (PRDC) for environments where hostile threats are real and constant.  The Reinforced Data Center is a Forced Entry Ballistic Reinforced (FEBR) enclosure designed to withstand hostiles armed with heavy weapons.  Our standard models are specified for Department of State 60 minute requirements; however, we also offer more expensive bunker systems capable of lasting hours if not days.  PS&C’s Portable Reinforced Data Centers (PRDC) are tested, proven, and can be manufactured to withstand small arms, RPG (Rocket-propelled grenade), and explosive ordinance detonations.

The temperature within the Portable Reinforced Data Center (PRDC) is controlled using either chilled water in-row cooling or a cold isle/hot isle forced air HVAC, whichever is best for the customer’s specific application.  The PRDC's are built in 20 ft and 40 ft modules.  However, they can be a custom design footprint.  A standard 20’ PRDC can hold up to six (6) server modules and has (N+1) power redundancy already built into the system through integrated Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems.  The racks are mounted on 100% slides allowing for full depth access to both sides of the server racks.  The PRDC also has advanced power and communication hookups allowing for quick and easy connection.

Hardened Shelter Layout:

The PRDC is a completely enclosed system with only one (1) personnel access door.  Redundant cipher locks with built in blast plating protects the door.  Users can rest assured knowing their data center is physically and electronically protected from any possible threat.  LED lighting is provided throughout the PRDC system for ISO 8995-1:2002 (CIE S 008/E: 2001) requirements.  Additionally, the floor is non-slip interlocking rubber tiles.  Therefore they are easy to clean.

PS&C’s Portable Reinforced Data Center is capable of being operated in 50Hz or 60Hz environments, anywhere in the world.  The PRDC are deployed quickly in short notice.  Power Systems & Controls can offer our standard 20’ or 40’ PRDCs, as well as, models for Expandable, Modular, and Design & Build requirements.
